SIPFest transforms Surfers Paradise Beach into a vibrant and unique cinema, delivering a unique outdoor film experience like no other in Australia.

SIPFest, otherwise known as Shorts in Paradise Festival, is an annual showcase of the best short films from across Australia and is a key event of the Gold Coast Film Festival.

With sand below and stars above, the crowd will be captivated by 10 minute cinematic masterpieces by emerging filmmakers from around the country.

With most professional filmmakers beginning their career on the set of a short film, SIPFest provides an opportunity to identify and reward talented emerging filmmakers both locally and from around Australia..

Thrillers, dramas, comedy, documentary and more of a classification M or below will be judged by a panel of industry experts and awarded $10,000 in prizes. The audience can also cast their vote on the night for the people's choice award.

Running over two days the 2nd day will showcase the best of the short films from the London Film Festival ‘Now That’s What I Call Short Film’. Featuring the greatest hits of the 2016 festival, discover cutting-edge UK independent film and exciting new international films right here on Surfers Paradise Beach. Expect cats, drag, bad dates, radio phone-ins and some minor police intervention (from the shorts, of course).

These short films are recommended  for ages 15 and over.

The two bedroom two bathroom apartments are fully self contained and complete with everything you will need. The apartment includes fully equipped kitchens, ceiling fans, free Foxtel, large a spacious wrap balcony with sliding doors and ocean views, a main bedroom, a second bedroom, separate bathroom, and more. The apartment can accommodate a maximum of six guests in total.
