Engelbert Humperdinck – the fabulous performer– has proclaimed his eagerly expected return to Australia with ‘The Man I Want To Be Tour,' anchored to land at The Star Gold Coast on March of this year.
Back for the first time since his sold-out concerts in 2015, Engelbert will be highlighting music from his most recent record "50", as well as quintessential hits like "The Last Waltz", "Quando Quando Quando", "Am I That Easy To Forget", "Release Me", and "A Man Without Love". Despite growing up painfully shy and the youngest of ten kids, Engelbert Humperdinck rose to fame in 1967, after his hit ‘Release Me' famously blocked The Beatles new track ‘Penny Lane' in the charts.
Spending 50 weeks in the UK charts, the beloved entertainer went on and skyrocketed to fame, winning hordes of women fans across the globe and becoming one of the most distinguished artists at that time. Engelbert has a career encompassing 50 years. He has 64 Gold albums under his name, 35 Platinum records, four Grammy nominations, and a Golden Globe. He has presented for the Queen four times and several presidents.
Don't miss this special night to be serenaded by Engelbert.

Enjoy this restored version of the film, Sons Of Matthew.
Sons of Matthew is an iconic film in the archives of Australian cinema. It is Charles Chauvel’s most intimate and lofty work and took 18 months to finish. Filming in Queensland was hampered by flooding and heavy rain. It was a commercial success with local audiences when it premiered in December 1949. It was also released in the UK and US.
The film pays homage to the first farmers of northern New South Wales and south-east Queensland. Chauvel’s family originated in this area. He was employed on cattle stations during his growing up years. The film was filmed in Springbrook in the Gold Coast hinterland. Books written by Bernard O'Reilly inspired the story.
The Chauvel family had ties with the Gold Coast community. The Gold Coast Film Festival has an award named after the Chauvel. The Chauvel Award is awarded every year in April to honour an individual's contribution to the Australian film industry.
Catch the film on March 13 at Home of the Arts.
